Indy Cars Rejecting Homegrown Ethanol In Favor Of Brazilian Fuel
By Mr Ethanol | November 28, 2008
Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier:
The Indy Racing League has signed a deal to use imported Brazilian ethanol instead of ethanol produced in the U.S. That’s raising the hackles of backers of this country’s renewable fuels industry.
American Future Fund, an Iowa-based conservative advocacy group,
is running a radio ad in Indiana criticizing the move.
“It’s mind-boggling as to why the league would take this action in an economic downturn. This is a slap in the face to American farmers and workers,” said AFF spokesman Tim Albrecht.
