As Gas Prices Fall, So Does E-85

KELOLAND TV:
While gas prices have been going down across KELOLAND over the past couple of weeks, E-85 prices are also following suit, with some stations offering the alternative fuel at less than two dollars a gallon. But is that enough to switch drivers to flex-fuel cars? While drivers were impressed by the price, some remain skeptical of the benefits of switching to a flex-fuel vehicle now.

As the economy continues to regain its footing, Americans are getting relief at the pump. But they could also get relief from the price of E-85
“I think it’s good to use ethanol,” said Cara Lebrun. “It’s a renewable resource, so I guess its worth the investment.”
The price of a regular gallon of gasoline at the Get N’Go on Minnesota and 14th Avenue is $2.69. The price of E-85 at the same station is only $1.79, a savings of nearly one dollar per gallon.
