Car Rental Companies Offering Hybrids And Flex Fuel

Biodiesel and Ethanol Investing:
Los Angeles Times Travel reports that car rental companies are beginning to offer hybrid and biofuel-run vehicles in Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, San Francisco, Dallas, New York City, Chicago, Washington, DC, Atlanta, and Miami. Enterprise, Alamo, and National are renting out Ford, Toyota, and Saturn hybrids in addition to Terrapass carbon offsets. Enterprise has a luxury division that’s offering Lexus hybrids in LA and Fox is renting Civic, Camry, Highlander SUV, and Prius hybrids. Hertz plans to have Priuses available by the end of the year while Avis and Budget are already offering Prius, Altima, and Escape hybrids. Most of the major car rental companies are also offering E85-capable vehicles for rent.
