Diversified Ethanol Develops Waste-To-Ethanol Technology
By Mr Ethanol | March 4, 2008
Ethanol Producer Magazine:
Burnsville, Minn.-based Diversified Ethanol Corp. has developed proprietary modular ethanol conversion units specially designed for breweries and microbreweries looking to capture off-spec brewery waste for ethanol production. The modular ethanol units are now commercially available.
Diversified Energy’s technology will be a boon to breweries looking to increase revenue by converting
waste into a high-value and salable product. “This new technology is clearly a breakthrough in recycling and in creating a new source of revenue for breweries,” said Robert Johnson, chairman and chief executive officer of Greenbelt Resources, parent company of Diversified Energy. “Using our new sustainable ethanol plant design, our company will install ‘green’ production plants into existing breweries and microbreweries throughout the U.S. Our small modular plant design makes ethanol production affordable for small- to medium-sized operations.” More.
