Chinese Have Ethanol Plans
By Mr Ethanol | February 26, 2008
Fiji Times:
A 10-MEMBER delegation from China has plans to venture into ethanol production in Fiji, says Fiji’s ambassador to China, Sir James Ah Koy.
Sir James said the delegation planned to make ethanol from cassava.
He said he would make more information available on the proposal before the team returned to China.

Sir James said the Chinese delegation was focusing on the production of ethanol and taking up low cost housing projects.
They were also exploring opportunities for investment in agriculture, manufacturing and tourism.
Interim Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama welcomed the group of Chinese entrepreneurs, led by Sir James.
In a statement, Commodore Bainimarama said the arrival of the business delegation was proof of the trade and investment opportunities that existed between the two countries, upon which Fiji could strengthen its bilateral relations with China.
