Electric Cars: Are They Getting Another Jolt?
By Mr Ethanol | January 18, 2008

CNBC:
With all the attention focused on building gas electric hybrids, new forms of ethanol, and hydrogen fuel cells, the most interesting race in the auto industry is the development of electric powered cars and trucks.
The news that Nissan/Renault will partner with former SAP AG executive Shai Agassi to build electric cars is yet another sign, the big automakers are seriously moving in to this area.
The project, with reports have being announced Monday, will focus on building cars powered by lithium-ion batteries that can go 100 miles on a single charge. The team plans to test it in Israel, where the country will subsidize a network of re-charging stations.
