West Virginia MetroNews:
Buyers are looking for better fuel efficiency in the vehicles they purchase these days. General Motors Zone Manager Jim Astorga says his company is meeting that demand in a number of ways.
“When we talk about fuel efficiencies, we’ve done a lot of work for a number of years, as a company, to try to get energy diversity into all of our products and also try to incorporate, as much as possible, alternative propulsion technologies,” Astorga says in an interview with MetroNews.
GM is one of a number of vehicle makers displaying the latest technologies as part of the West Virginia International Auto Show in Charleston. The show started on Friday morning at the Charleston Civic Center. It runs through Sunday.
Astorga says the GM products there this weekend meet the 30 mark, 30 miles per gallon fuel efficiency or better. “Over a number of years, we’ve continually improved the traditional internal combustion engine and we’ve applied advanced technologies for the purpose of saving fuel.”…
