First Large-Scale Ethanol Plant Opens In Texas

Ethanol Producer Magazine:
Dallas-based White Energy announced the start of production at White Energy Hereford LLC, its 100 MMgy ethanol plant in Hereford, Texas. Designed by ICM Inc. and built by Fagen Inc., the plant will use more than 36 million bushels of corn and milo as feedstocks. The milo will be purchased from the local Hereford Grain Co-op, and the corn will be secured from Archer Daniels Midland Co.
