FOX:
According to general manager Kerry Nixon, there was an explosion around 3:30 p.m. at the Central Minnesota Ethanol Co-op in Little Falls Sunday. A fire started in the wood fuel silo, which led to an explosion which blew the roof off the silo. The silo remained intact. There were four employees working at the time but no one was hurt.
As of 8:42 p.m. firefighters are still at the scene, foaming the rest of the silo. They expect to clear the scene by 10 p.m.
The Central MN Ethanol Co-op is just off Minnesota Highway 371 north of Little Falls, which is about 30 miles north of St. Cloud.
