Diesel-Gas Fuel To Be Launched
By Mr Ethanol | June 14, 2007

Manila Standard Today:
President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo will lead the launching of a binary fuel for public utility bus and jeepneys at next week’s 20th anniversary rites of the Land Transportation Franchising Regulatory Board.
“We’ll test six units each of public utility bus and public utility jeepney, running on a combination of diesel and liquefied petroleum gas,” said bureau chief Thompson Lantion, also spokesman of the transportation department.
He said the project was among the measures being worked out to cope with the rising cost of gasoline and avert the fare hike.
“We’ve to be innovative and at the same time creative.”
