By Mr Ethanol | May 23, 2007

Car and Driver:
Toyota is introducing cars that run on ethanol and gasoline in Brazil, according to The Nikkei, a major Japanese business newspaper.
Toyota will unveil Corolla subcompacts that run on ethanol, gasoline or a mixture of the two fuels, and plans to convert models it produces in Brazil to flex-fuel cars, the story said.
An ethanol industry has emerged in Brazil in the past two years. The fuel it produces is made from corn, sugar cane or other crops and is about half the price of gasoline in Brazil. Eight out of every 10 new cars sold in the country are flex-fuel models.
